Very little of what you own is built to outlast you. Jewelry is.

Metal older than memory, cut stone, made to pass from one hand to the next.

And nothing dramatic ever dulls a fine piece, but life may. Skin, fragrance, the air of a city, ten thousand small touches of an ordinary day. None of it is damage. All of it is accumulation, and accumulation reverses completely when you keep a ritual.

Keep the ritual, and the piece will leave your hands brighter than it found them.

The Ritual

Once a month, or whenever the light seems lower than you remember. A bowl of warm water. Two drops of mild soap. Let the piece rest for ten minutes, work it gently with a soft brush, rinse, and dry it with a soft cloth before it returns to you.

Nothing abrasive, ever. Abrasion does not clean a precious metal, but rather, punishes it.

Our Gold

Gold does not tarnish. It records. Wear settles a soft patina over the surface, a quiet diary of everywhere the piece has been with you. Some clients keep the diary. Most prefer the mirror. The ritual returns the mirror.

Gold is also, by intention, a soft metal. That softness is what allows our karigars to draw it into chain and close it around stone. Honor it in return. Your piece goes on last, after fragrance and lotion have dried, and comes off first. Chlorine is its one true adversary. Keep gold out of its company.

Our Diamonds

A diamond is the hardest thing you will ever own, and the most honest. It cannot fade and it cannot dull. It can only be obscured. A diamond draws oil from everything it touches, and a film of ordinary living is all that ever stands between a stone and its fire. The ritual clears it. Clean your diamonds more often than instinct suggests. We cut for light. Keep them in it.

Keeping

Gold scratches gold. When a piece comes off, it returns to its own pouch or its own compartment, clasp closed so a chain cannot knot. Gold asks nothing of darkness, air, or time. It only asks not to share a drawer.

The Long View

Twice a year, feel your clasp. Open it, close it, notice any play. Clasps and links carry the entire working life of a piece, and they wear before anything else does. If something feels loose, or you simply want the piece looked over, message a Personal Advisor on WhatsApp.
