Precipice
THE PRECIPICE
The precipice. What does it mean to feel as if you are always living on the precipice?
It means living in a world of anticipation and hope. Living in a world where you are looking for what's next, looking forward to what's next rather than being apprehensive of it. And sure, that may be our definition. A little different than what is commonly understood as being on the precipice. But at the end of the day, words only mean what they mean to you.
To us, the precipice is the foundation of what we do at Roy Jewels. We always feel as if we're looking at the world, nay, the universe, as if we're at the edge. Not at the edge afraid of falling off. At the edge waiting to soar and to lift.
Imagine the bird as it's getting ready for flight. It's about to spring. It's coiling. It's kundalini. Imagine the baby as it's about to walk, wobbling, on the edge, teetering, tottering, falling on its butt, rising up again with a smile. That is what the precipice is to us. The next. The new. The novel. The anticipation of perfection, knowing you will never be perfect.
That is how we design our jewelry. That is how we hope we live our lives. On the precipice.
We want to welcome you to our world. This precipice. This anticipation of novelty, this need for newness. And we hope you understand that when we are designing, when we are dropping collections, when we are going and meeting with suppliers, miners, brokers, and traders, we always do so with anticipation, hope, and the need of being on the precipice.
Heavy as it may sound, the precipice is actually very light. Heavy as it may sound, the precipice just is. It's a part of who we are. The part of who we will always be. The part of what we hope makes us unique.
This is The Precipice. This is Roy Jewels.
